History

The NaSiO Institute evolved from the process engineering course of study at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. This course of studies followed the idea of sustainability and climate protection since 1989. It was one of the first courses in Baden-Württemberg to be committed to this goal.

And today, the engineers of the future are still being trained at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences to put the goals of the Paris Climate Treaty into practice in the field of environmental, biological and energy process engineering. In the meantime, however, the former process engineering course has been incorporated into the environmental technology course as a specialization.
